American Sign Language Learning Opportunities

This section is devoted to the various American Sign Language – ASL – learning opportunities that Sign On – ASL Education, LLC will be offering throughout the year!

Our instructors include native ASL users who have about 10+ years of teaching experience.  Participants/learners under 12 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult to participate in the following opportunities.

ASL Level 1 – 4 week class – $88

ASL Level I introduces basic information about American Sign Language.  The American Manual Alphabet, approximately 100 ASL vocabulary words, and numbers one – ten will be introduced.  Students will develop expressive and receptive ASL vocabulary skills by review and reinforcement.  Basic facts about American Deaf Culture are also presented.  Each class period meets face-to-face and lasts for 1 hour.

ASL Level 2 – 4 week class – $88

ASL Level 2 introduces 70 new vocabulary words and the ASL grammatical structures of topic/comment and indexing.  Numbers 11 – 30 are also presented.  Students will continue to develop expressive and receptive ASL skills by engaging in basic conversations using sentences appropriate for this level.  Each class period meets face-to-face and lasts for 1 hour.

ASL Level 3 – 4 week class – $88

ASL Level 3 reviews vocabulary taught in previous levels.  The overall course goal is for students to become more independent in their ability to communicate using mainly ASL, and to engage in basic conversations with the instructor and each other.  Participants will be guided on how to change English sentence structure into ASL.  Each class period meets face-to-face and lasts for 1 hour.

ASL Tutoring – 1:1 sessions – $40 per hour purchased in 4 hour increments
